Summary:  Based in our Madison, WI location, position will be an integral part of the epitaxy team providing support and expertise toward the development of novel high-power laser products.

Responsibilities:

• Operation and maintenance of MOCVD reactor.
• Epitaxial material characterization and analysis.
• Interaction with R&D processing, design and testing groups to develop new capabilities and continuously improve existing products.
• Propose, lead and complete technical projects within a team-oriented environment.
• Support device R&D and production activities.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• OMVPE/MOCVD experience with III-V arsenides/phosphides on GaAs and InP.
• Strong experience with photoluminescence, X-ray diffraction, ECV, Hall measurement, Auger, SIMS, TEM and SEM techniques 
• Previous experience with laser diode epitaxy over gratings and wafer processing beneficial.
• 3 – 5 years of epitaxy experience in industry
• Knowledge of semiconductor laser design and application.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and operate in a dynamic work environment.
• Good organizational, prioritization and planning skills.
